We offer bespoke enrichment programmes that can be run across 4 to 8 weeks (usually after school for 1.5hours a week) or as off-timetable creative and critical thinking days/weeks.

The programme gives students the opportunities to develop their understanding of the anti-apartheid struggle and its wider context and legacy as well as to reflect on links to contemporary societal issues and methods for effecting positive social change.

Participants will improve their communication and collaboration skills, use critical and creative thinking and explore the importance of civic participation. The programme offers the opportunity to engage with materials from our collection, with former anti-apartheid activists through talks and Q&A sessions, it includes film screening(s)  and a chance to get hands on with arts and heritage-based activities and to develop resonant spoken word, poetry or persuasive writing pieces. Depending on the programme, there is also an opportunity for thematically linked visits and guided walks.
