We are able to offer visits to KS2 and KS3 pupils from local authors, including Joanna Williams, whose engaging presentations followed by Q&A sessions provide historical context for and engagement with her London-set story, Drama and Danger, from the Lizzie and Belle Mysteries series, whose characters are inspired by real Black British historical characters from eighteenth century England. The sequel, Portrait and Poison, was published in March 2023.
There is also the option of us partnering with New Beacon Books to support these visits. New Beacon Books can supply the relevant titles for purchase by the school and or parents/carers.
