Creativity Live: Celebrating Diversity
Thursday 15 October, 11.00–11.50am, marking UK Black History Month and 50 years since the Soweto Uprising, in partnership with Eastside Educational Trusts.
We’re inviting Primary Schools (KS2) and SEND Schools* to join a FREE 50-minute interactive livestream workshop on Thursday 15 October, 11.00–11.50am, marking UK Black History Month and 50 years since the Soweto Uprising.
Using drama, movement and music, pupils will explore the experiences and courage of the young people who took part in the Soweto Uprising in South Africa in 1976. Through creative activities, they’ll consider what led young people to protest, the impact of their actions, and how their voices can inspire us to stand up for fairness and positive change today.
Produced by Eastside in partnership with the Anti-Apartheid Legacy Centre, Creativity Live: Celebrating Diversity offers a thoughtful and engaging way to explore equality, diversity and inclusion while building pupils’ confidence, oracy, literacy and creativity.
